OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:

  • Amicon is seeking a Project Manager to lead the strategic and day-to-day direction of assigned industry projects. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and direct day-to-day coordination of project deliverables
  • Delegate and oversee responsibilities to team members of assigned projects;
  • Direct daily client communication;
  • Construction Administration (managing RFI’s, Submittals, CO’s, etc.);
  • Review of drawings for completeness and best practices;
  • Review and assess consulting scheduling and agreements (construction, design);
  • Responsible for purchase orders, budget adherence and all project-related costs
  • Manage and analyze direct and indirect cost budget;
  • Responsible for construction schedule adherence;
  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor construction, review contractors’ requisitions for payment and recommend the release of construction funds;
  • Observe general compliance of as-built conditions with the contract drawings and specifications;
  • Review construction schedules, trade payment breakdowns, job cost reports, and payment requisitions;
  • Maintain high level of vendor contact and communication;
  • Manage multiple projects;
  • Approve and send out weekly project status reports to internal and external team members.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field;
  • At least 7+ years of experience in construction administration, architecture, engineering, construction management or similar experience in South Florida;
  • Knowledge of the local permitting process and construction delivery methods and agreements;
  • Familiarity with construction best practices, general building codes, and various building types;
  • Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized;
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook and MS Project;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:

  • We are seeking a superintendent to assist with commercial projects throughout South Florida. The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily operation of construction projects
  • Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
  • Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
  • Manage subcontractors and construction site organization
  • Ability to review, interpret and incorporate plans, contract documents into the project site/structure development
  • Capable of managing multiple trades on any given occasion, understand and assure compliance with codes, regulations and the architect’s intent
  • Familiarity with necessary paper work ie; daily photographs, field logs, inspections, safety meetings, progress schedule updates and computer skills
  • Ability to supervise site work including verification of layout, grades and performance
  • OSHA certification
  • Temperament and ability to interface with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Building officials and inspectors in an effective and professional manner

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in construction area Strong project management and communications skills
  • Ability to read construction documents
  • Familiarity with regulatory construction standards

This is an exciting position which will expose you to South Florida’s highest level projects including all of the intricacies and stakeholders of the construction, real estate development and delivery process. Projects range from hospitality, mixed use and luxury residential. Currently, Amicon is managing over $1 Billion in construction and real estate assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work hand-in-hand with a project team on 2 to 3 active design and/or construction projects.
  • Support to team members includes document control and management of online project tracking system with team related tasks.
  • Assist with administrative duties on a project such as coordination with subcontractors and design professionals, budget tracking and proposals and schedule impacts.
  • Update directory and communication channels with all construction and design project professionals.
  • Work Planning: Ability to plan and prioritize individual contributions and those of team members to achieve high-quality, timely results. Dependable and punctual for all work-related commitments.
  • Relationships: Ability to earn respect through the credibility of construction knowledge and positive approach to problem solving. Ability to develop productive relationships within the project team, with contractors, and with design teams and clients.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, including excellent ability to identify and understand requirements of the project team and to participate in collaborative problem solving.Ability to write proposals, monthly reports, and other related project documentation as instructed.
  • Detail Orientation: Ability to successfully ensure the accuracy of project documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Professionalism: Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor and appearance at all times and perform well under project constraints and deadlines.
  • Field Experience: Ability to commute to and from the office and various job sites.
  • Willing to perform other duties as assigned by project management team.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid interest in pursuing career in Construction/Project Management required
  • Current Junior or Senior level status; pursuing Bachelor’s degree (Preferably architecture,engineering, construction management, or related field)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of project management software. Willingness to test and implement new technologies as they become available
  • Schedule capacity for work at least 4 days a week for 4 hours a day.

OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:

  • Amicon has an excellent opportunity for a self-directed, motivated, Construction Project Accountant to join our rapidly growing owner representation firm as the primary project accountant for projects ranging from luxury residential to commercial development.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the day-to-day project budget and cost-tracking.
  • Work with Project Managers and Principals-in-Charge, third-party vendors, suppliers and financial institutions to manage commitments and payments on multiple project budgets.
  • Perform meticulous daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reporting across cost ledgers and prepare monthly budget cost tracking reports for presentation to clients.
  • Process and distribute contracts and purchase orders.
  • Process and monitor certificates of insurance, Notices to Owner and Notices to Contractor and maintain logs.
  • Process and obtain lien releases from subcontractors and vendors and maintain logs.
  • Maintain all project filing folders up to date, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Process Purchase Orders and ensure accurate payment of the subcontractors, suppliers and vendors invoices. Process and release all project related payments.
  • Research and respond to accounting inquiries from subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and/or Project Managers.
  • Other project accounting related duties as needed.
  • Willing to perform other duties as assigned by project management team.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or some college courses preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Experienced user of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong interpersonal skill, team-oriented and comfortable communicating with team members, clients and third parties.
  • Able to work independently, multi-task and properly identify priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Committed to learning and development.
  • Able to commute to and from the office to various job sites, if needed.
